Watch the sunrise from Cadillac Mountain: During part of the year, this is the first sunrise that you can watch in the United States! A reservation is required to park here, but you can also hike to the top.
Try one of the famous ladder trails: A handful of trails in Acadia National Park includes ladders or rungs built into the rocks. This makes some of the hikes very unique and adventurous! The most famous one is the Beehive Trail, which is 1.6-miles round trip.
Eat popovers at Jordan Pond House: This restaurant has been serving up popovers since the late 1800’s. It’s best to make a reservation in advance.
Bike the Carriage Roads: There are 45 miles of Carriage Roads in Acadia. They were originally built for carriages, but are popular for biking today. This is a unique way to see more of the park!
Walk to Bar Island at low tide: At low tide, a path appears that links Bar Island to the town of Bar Harbor. Make sure to check the tide schedule and allow plenty of time to get back.
