Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain is home to stunning mountains, alpine lakes, and a variety of wildlife. It’s one of the most visited US national parks for good reason.

Along with fantastic hikes, Rocky Mountain has beautiful drives. It’s home to the highest continuous paved highway in the United States and is a great place to spot elk, moose, marmots, bighorn sheep, and other animals.

Rocky Mountain encompasses over 260,000 acres and has over 60 peaks that are higher than 12,000 feet. It’s an amazing place to explore.

The Best Things To Do in Rocky Mountain National Park

Drive Trail Ridge Road: Trail Ridge Road is the highest paved road in the United States, and has stunning viewpoints. It’s typically open between mid-May and mid-October.

Hike to an alpine lake: Rocky Mountain National Park has many beautiful hikes, and many opportunities for alpine lakes that range from easy to difficult. A couple of the top lakes I recommend are Dream Lake and Emerald Lake.

Explore the Wild Basin Area: Visit a less crowded area of Rocky Mountain National Park, Wild Basin. One of the best hikes in this region is Ouzel Falls.
