Hawai'i Travel Tips
There is nowhere else like Hawai'i in the United States! With incredible surfing, black sand beaches, world-class snorkeling, active volcanoes and refreshing shave ice, it's no wonder that tourists love exploring these islands. Here are some tips to ensure you have a successful trip.
- Please make sure to wear reef-safe sunscreen for snorkeling and swimming. Blue Lizard is a good brand for it.
- Use the Guide Along Audio tours to learn about the islands as you drive around!
- Many parks require reservations to visit, such as Diamond Head in Oahu, Wai'anapanapa State Park in Maui and the Nāpali Coast State Wilderness Park in Kauai.
Hawai'i National Parks
Hawaii has 2 national parks: Hawaii Volcanoes on the Big Island, and Haleakala on Maui. Read my guide to visiting Hawaii Volcanoes, and learn about visiting Haleakala in my Maui itinerary.
