How to Get to New England
Some areas of New England are far from major airports, so you’ll want to plan your road trips accordingly. The Boston Logan International Airport is essentially the gateway into the region. You’ll be able to find the most frequent and affordable flights here, and it’s in a great location to drive out to the other New England states. You’ll also want to rent a car to get around.

Tips for a New England Fall Road Trip
New England is an incredible place to visit in the fall! The vibrant fall foliage is some of the best in the United States, and this is a trip that should be on everyone’s USA bucket list.
Here are some tips to ensure a successful fall visit:

Peak foliage varies year to year and can be different depending on which area you’re in. My advice is to plan the best you can, but don’t stress too much about being in the exact right places at the exact right times. You’ll experience beauty no matter what! However, I recommend planning your trip in the first two weeks of October.

Expect crowds in the popular spots (such as Artist’s Bluff in New Hampshire). Go early if you can, and book your lodging ahead of time, as it will likely sell out.
